The research activity of the Laboratory of Experimental and Clinical Hematology is divided into two main areas:

  • Clinical research, conducted through national and international multicenter studies (GIMEMA, EORTC, EBMT, FIL, GITMO, EMN), focused on new drugs, cellular therapies, and organizational models for early palliative care in onco-hematology.
  • Biological research, carried out in the Hematology Laboratories at the COM building, dedicated to studying the molecular and immunological mechanisms of leukemias and the immunological complications in patients undergoing stem cell transplantation, CAR-T therapy, or solid organ transplantation, with the goal of developing new therapeutic strategies.
